Allowed websites
This list controls which domains may track versions and goals for this site in Version Compare. It helps keep another website's browser traffic out of your results. Include every domain in your visitor's journey, such as your marketing site, app, and checkout. The domain you added when creating the site is already allowed.
In Setup, add each Website address, such as checkout.example.com. Leave out page paths: an allowed address covers the whole website. www.example.com and example.com need separate entries.
The service checks the browser's The request header naming the page's protocol, hostname, and port. It does not contain its page path. header against this list. Browsers prevent ordinary third-party scripts forging it. Non-browser clients can forge it, so this is not proof of genuine visitors or protection against fabricated traffic.
Across websites and tabs
Allow each website in the same site and use your chosen integration on every relevant page, including sign-up, sign-in, forms, and the final goal. Ordinary links automatically carry observed versions to another allowed website:
<a href="https://app.example.com/sign-up">
Create your account
</a>After that destination has received observations, its own browser storage makes them available on later pages and new tabs in the same browser. You do not need special link attributes or tracking tokens in forms and emails.
Independent visits to unrelated websites cannot be joined automatically. Another browser or device, an unobserved hop, or cleared or blocked storage limits continuity. Storage is separate for each website address, including sibling subdomains. Navigation is never blocked while tracking prepares a transfer.
See the complete sign-up journey. Removing an address stops subsequent browser measurements from that website; it does not remove recorded results.
